It is an depressing reality that Ireland is one of the worst countries in Europe for road deaths and accidents. The Road Safety Authority were required to take action so they designed a fresh training curriculum that all new drivers have to carry out. The Essential Driver Training or EDT.
The EDT contains 12 obligatory structured driving lessons that must be provided by a RSA approved driving instructor to all learner drivers.
Learning to drive properly means comprehending and practicing distinct driving skills and these 12 EDT lessons have been designed to do just that.
