I used the RSA school of motoring to get my pretest done and use the car for the day of the test. The instructor Alan was a great help, very knowledgeable and he offered good insights which made the test overall much easier. I had failed my test 3 times before this and with Alan's guidance I was able to pass this time round! The car was clean, full of fuel and easy to drive. Very glad with the service

Your driving.
Clear feedback.
Knowing the road is only part of the test. Your observations, position, speed and decisions matter on every drive.
A pretest is one hour in a dual-controlled car. Your instructor assesses your driving, using a mock drive and focused practice where needed.
Observation
Mirror checks, blind spots and looking at the right time before you move.
Position
Where the car sits in the lane, approaching a junction and going through a roundabout.
Speed
Choosing a speed for the conditions, visibility and traffic. Making safe progress when the road allows.
Decisions
Right of way, judging gaps and recognising when hesitation holds you back.
Know what
to practise next.
Your instructor marks the areas that need work and talks you through the priorities. You take away the feedback sheet to guide your practice.

We can also work on reversing around a corner, turning about, hill starts, signs, hand signals and car checks.

Their pretests.
Their words.
After having completed my EDT lessons over an extended period of time I was quite nervous prior to the test but following 3 pre tests with Derek Verso I passed with flying colors. I couldn’t recommend Derek highly enough, an excellent teacher and a nice bloke too.
