Pretest and the car for the day
I used the RSA school of motoring to get my pretest done and use the car for the day of the test. The instructor Alan was a great help, very knowledgeable and he offered good insights which made the test overall much easier. I had failed my test 3 times before this and with Alan's guidance I was able to pass this time round! The car was clean, full of fuel and easy to drive. Very glad with the service

The price of one lesson
A single manual lesson costs €53.27. A single automatic lesson costs €61.41. Each lasts one hour. Blocks of lessons have a lower hourly rate.
The lowest hourly rate
The twelve-lesson package costs €587.95 in manual, or €659.24 in automatic. That is €49.00 or €54.94 per lesson, rounded to the nearest cent.
What the lesson price includes
Each lesson includes one hour with an ADI-registered instructor, a dual-controlled car, fuel and lesson insurance. Agree your local pickup and drop-off point with the instructor. Completed EDT sessions are recorded where applicable.
Choosing six lessons
Six lessons can be a block of practice or reduced EDT if the Road Safety Authority has approved you for it. Buying a six-lesson package does not establish reduced EDT eligibility.
Lessons after the full EDT
Completing twelve EDT sessions does not guarantee that you are ready for the test. Your instructor will discuss your progress and any further practice or lessons you need.
Pretest and car hire prices
The manual package costs €183.63. Automatic costs €193.81. Each includes a one-hour pretest lesson and car hire for the driving test, subject to confirmed availability and arrangements.
