Learn the RSA way you'll pass fast and pay less doing it.
Choose Rathgar tuition around the driving you need to do. At RSA School of Motoring Leinster, you can book a first hour, continue EDT or discuss test preparation. Manual and automatic lessons are available. Let us know your starting area and the experience you are bringing to the lesson.
Manual tuition gives you time to develop the coordination behind smooth starts and gear changes. The aim is to use those controls while still noticing what is happening around you. Explain which part takes most thought, so your instructor can break it into useful practice.
Book manual lessons ↗
Our automatic lessons can suit a first-time learner or someone changing from a manual car. You can concentrate on position, speed and decisions while the car handles gear changes. Tell us what you have already practised. Passing the test in an automatic restricts your licence to automatic cars.
Book automatic lessons ↗Ask us about lesson availability and booking options for Rathgar. We can help you choose the next step for your experience level.
The standard EDT course has twelve one-hour sessions, each with a recorded learning outcome. We offer the full package and individual tuition for learners with sessions already completed. Have your logbook ready when discussing what remains.
Use the instructor's feedback to choose a manageable practice task. Repeating a manoeuvre without understanding the correction is less useful than getting one detail right. Bring your questions to the next lesson while the experience is fresh.
A lesson for driving-test preparation can check your observation, control and decisions before the booked appointment. Tell us if your centre is Tallaght or another venue. Use the exact appointment details when enquiring, and mention any need for a test car at the same time.
Because not all Rathgar driving schools are made equal. Herzog Park sits close to Rathgar village, with the council's bring centre on Orwell Road. Give your own street and preferred time when enquiring so we can agree the practical lesson arrangement.
Choose your county ↗
Choose further hours according to the progress you need and the goal you want to work towards. A useful lesson ends with clear feedback about what has improved. Ask how the next session will build on that before booking more tuition.
The EDT: a guide ↗ Preparation for the driving test ↗Our current advertised price is €53.27 for a one-hour manual lesson and €61.41 for a one-hour automatic lesson. The twelve-lesson EDT package is €587.95 in manual or €659.24 in automatic, with twelve one-hour sessions. Lessons include an ADI-registered instructor, a dual-controlled car and agreed local pickup. We check instructor availability and agree the pickup point before booking in Rathgar. See current lesson prices and packages.
Yes. Tell us what you have practised and which EDT sessions are recorded. We can discuss automatic tuition from that point. An automatic test pass gives an automatic-only licence.
A landmark can help describe your area. Include your actual road or address too, so the instructor can agree a suitable meeting point and lesson time.
Tell us your test date, completed training and any recent feedback. That helps us discuss whether an assessment or further tuition is the useful next step.
