In a manual lesson, your instructor helps you use the pedals and gears while keeping good observation. You'll work on control, positioning and making safe decisions as the drive develops. Say when you need a task explained again so you can practise it with a clear purpose.

You can learn in an automatic from the beginning or after some manual tuition. Our automatic lesson option gives you time to use the different controls while building the driving skills both transmissions need. Explain any earlier experience when arranging your first appointment.

We offer the full twelve-session EDT programme as well as smaller blocks for learners with sessions already recorded. Each standard session is one hour with an approved instructor. Bring your logbook so the remaining course can be discussed accurately.
Feedback after each lesson helps you choose what to practise with your sponsor. Ask for a task you can recognise and repeat safely. Bring any questions from that practice into the next session.
A pre-test lesson lets you assess your driving before test day and work on the points identified. Tallaght is a current RSA directory listing. Give us the exact venue and date on your appointment, and mention any need for a test car.
Because not all Saggart driving schools are made equal. Garter Lane is also known locally as Main Street. The village plaza is at the junction with Páirc Mhuire, with Mill Road and Mill Lane nearby. Use a full address or clear street reference when agreeing where your lesson will begin.

The EDT: a guide ↗ Preparation for the driving test ↗Our current advertised price is €53.27 for a one-hour manual lesson and €61.41 for a one-hour automatic lesson. The twelve-lesson EDT package is €587.95 in manual or €659.24 in automatic, with twelve one-hour sessions. Lessons include an ADI-registered instructor, a dual-controlled car and agreed local pickup. Yes. Bring your logbook and check the sessions uploaded to MyEDT. Tell us which lessons remain so the booking reflects the course you have already started.
Yes. You do not need to start in a manual car. Tell us your preference and availability when enquiring so the correct tuition can be arranged.
Ask about both when you send your appointment details. The transmission, centre, date and car availability need to be checked before the booking is confirmed.
