Learn the RSA way you'll pass fast and pay less doing it.
Smithfield driving lessons give you a choice of manual or automatic tuition at your current level. At our RSA school we discuss previous lessons and the skills you want to build. Share your preferred starting street and available times when you enquire.
Manual lessons combine clutch and gear control with the decisions you make around other road users. Your instructor explains the timing and helps you practise a consistent routine. If an action feels rushed, ask which preparation should happen earlier.
Book manual lessons ↗
Automatic tuition lets you learn without manual gear selection. It suits learners who expect to drive an automatic car. You still work on observation, positioning and speed, with your instructor explaining how those skills fit together.
Book automatic lessons ↗Ask us about lesson availability and booking options for Smithfield. We can help you choose the next step for your experience level.
EDT follows twelve one-hour sessions for learners taking the full programme. Bring your permit and any existing training record to establish your starting point. Your instructor can explain the next topic and review the practice you've done.
The EDT learning programme can help you see what each session covers before you discuss the next appointment. Keep a short note of useful feedback. Ask for an example if a point is too broad to practise.
Pre-test tuition helps you assess how independently you drive before your appointment. Tell us the centre named on the booking and the date. If you're booked at Finglas, confirm its exact address from the appointment details before planning your journey.
Because not all Smithfield driving schools are made equal. Smithfield Square is identified in Dublin City Council's location directory. When arranging a lesson, tell us the street or side of the area that suits you. We'll confirm a particular meeting place, including where you should wait.
