Manual tuition helps you use the controls without letting them take all your attention. A first lesson can introduce the pedals and gears at a suitable pace. If you have driven before, describe what feels settled and what needs work. The instructor can build from that experience.

An automatic lesson removes the clutch and manual gear changes from the task. It can suit someone who plans to own an automatic or wants to change transmission during training. Explain your previous lessons when enquiring. Observation and judgement still need the same attention.

Our standard EDT course includes twelve one-hour sessions with an approved instructor. If some are already complete, bring your logbook and check the uploaded record. We can discuss the remaining training and individual hours without treating every enquiry as a new course.
Your instructor's feedback gives practice between sessions a purpose. Work on an agreed skill with your sponsor, then discuss how it went. A session being recorded does not mean every part of it will feel familiar straight away.
Choose pre-test tuition when you need feedback on your driving before the booked test. Give the exact centre and date, including Tallaght if that is your venue. If you need car hire for the appointment, ask about that alongside the lesson so the arrangement can be checked.
Because not all Templeogue driving schools are made equal. Templeogue village and Dodder Valley Park are useful local references. Templeogue Road and Cypress Grove Road identify different starting areas more clearly than the village name alone. Give your road or full address when enquiring. We will agree where the lesson begins after checking the practical arrangement.

The EDT: a guide ↗ Preparation for the driving test ↗Our current advertised price is €53.27 for a one-hour manual lesson and €61.41 for a one-hour automatic lesson. The twelve-lesson EDT package is €587.95 in manual or €659.24 in automatic, with twelve one-hour sessions. Lessons include an ADI-registered instructor, a dual-controlled car and agreed local pickup.
