RSA School of Motoring Ballyragget
The Square, Castle Street and Bridge Street give Ballyragget a compact centre beside the Nore. That doesn't mean every driving decision is simple. Tell us what you need to work on and where you need to start. We'll check availability before agreeing the lesson arrangement.

Manual driving lessons Ballyragget
At low speed, small control errors can make the car feel difficult to place. Work on clutch use and steering while keeping observations active. Around a square or junction, decide where the car needs to go before moving. Your instructor can choose suitable practice without treating every local street as a test route.

Automatic driving lessons Ballyragget
Automatic lessons remove manual gear changes, leaving the rest of the task to learn properly. Judge clearance, observe around parked vehicles and choose when to wait. If you feel pressured to move before you're ready, explain that. Waiting can be the correct decision, provided you understand why.

An RSA guide to the EDT
Bring your learner permit and any existing EDT logbook when arranging lessons. The standard programme has twelve one-hour sessions. Completed sessions and the practice still needed should both be part of the discussion.
Agree useful practice between sessions with a suitable accompanying driver. If positioning changes whenever another task is added, tell the instructor. It is better to identify that pattern than keep adding more roads to the lesson.
Get ready to pass your Ballyragget driving test
If you've booked your test at Kilkenny, provide the exact venue and date. The preparation lesson needs to account for that appointment, not assume your test takes place in Ballyragget. Bring any earlier fault sheet and explain what has improved since then.

Choose RSA School of Motoring for your driving lessons in Ballyragget
Because not all Ballyragget driving schools are made equal. Ballyragget Bridge crosses the Nore to the west of the town centre. The Square and Castle Street are useful references for explaining your area. They are not automatic pickup locations. Give an exact address and agree somewhere suitable for the car to stop.

The EDT: a guide
A repeated fault deserves a specific explanation. Was the problem speed, observation or the space you chose? Ask before the lesson ends. Knowing the answer gives you a useful task for the next practice session.

Can I ask about using a lesson car for my test?
Ask about pre-test and test-day car hire when enquiring. Give the centre, venue, date and transmission. The car and instructor arrangement must be checked before you rely on it for the appointment.
Do I need to repeat EDT when changing instructor?
Bring your logbook so completed sessions can be checked. The new instructor also needs to assess your current driving and practice needs. Do not buy another full programme simply because you have changed instructor.
Can a lesson focus on parking and low-speed control?
Explain which part is difficult, such as judging clearance, steering or moving slowly. Your instructor can assess the skill and choose suitable practice. No particular car park or private site is promised.
