Most Mullingar learners start in a manual, and passing in one covers you for manual and automatic cars. The first lessons stay on quieter streets like Market Square. Once the clutch stops being the main event, we move out to Mullingar Bypass.

Before you sit the driving test you need all twelve EDT lessons, each one stamped in your logbook. Your Mullingar instructor works through them in order, starting on Market Square and building up to Mullingar Bypass.
By the last few lessons you're driving the roads around the Mullingar test centre, so the approach is familiar long before the day itself.
