Learn the RSA way you'll pass fast and pay less doing it.
Book lessons with RSA School of Motoring Leinster in Lucan for your first time behind the wheel, your remaining EDT sessions or focused test preparation. Choose manual or automatic and tell us where you'd like to start. We'll check the available lesson times with you.
Manual tuition helps you bring the pedals, gears and steering together without losing track of what's around you. Early lessons give you time to understand each control. As those tasks become familiar, your instructor can put more attention on junction decisions and planning ahead.

Learn in an automatic if that is the kind of car you expect to use. The car handles gear changes while you work on steering, speed and observation. If you're changing from manual lessons, tell us what you've already practised so we can pick up from there.
Book automatic lessons ↗Ask us about lesson availability and booking options for Lucan. We can help you choose the next step for your experience level.
We offer the standard twelve-session EDT course in both transmissions, as well as lessons for people who have already started. Your logbook helps the instructor see which sessions are complete. Bring it along rather than trying to remember each lesson number.
Feedback gives your practice between lessons a purpose. Ask which skill needs attention next, then discuss how to practise it safely with your sponsor. Finishing the course and being ready for the test are separate things.
A pre-test driving lesson gives you an assessment and clear feedback before your appointment. The current RSA directory includes Leixlip - Springfield Hotel, but use the exact centre on your booking when enquiring. If you need a test car too, ask about the lesson and car-hire package.
Because not all Lucan driving schools are made equal. Lucan's old village sits in the Liffey valley, with Lucan Bridge beside the centre. Lucan Demesne and Griffeen Valley are different local references. Giving us your road or estate helps us agree a starting point more accurately than simply saying Lucan.

You can start with one hour if you want to discuss your level before choosing a larger block. Tell the instructor what driving will help you do, whether that's work, study or family trips. It gives your lessons a useful direction beyond the next test date.

Yes. A single lesson lasts one hour and lets you discuss your starting point with the instructor. If it needs to count towards EDT, agree that when booking.
Bring your logbook and check your uploaded sessions in MyEDT. Tell us which sessions remain so we can discuss suitable lessons without treating you as a new starter.
Local pickup can be agreed with your instructor. Give us your road or estate, preferred times and transmission first so we can check the arrangement.
