RSA School of Motoring Rathcoole
At RSA School of Motoring Leinster, our Rathcoole lessons suit new learners and people building on earlier tuition. Choose manual or automatic, then discuss the hours that fit your progress. Individual lessons, EDT packages and pre-test options are available.
Manual driving lessons Rathcoole
Learn manual driving with an instructor explaining the controls and giving you time to practise them. You work towards smooth movement without losing observation around the car. If you've already learned the basics, the lesson can focus on the skills you want to improve.
Book manual lessons ↗Automatic driving lessons Rathcoole
Choosing automatic tuition takes clutch control and manual gear selection out of the lesson. It suits learners planning to drive an automatic car. Your instructor can help you use that simpler control layout while developing sound judgement at turns, junctions and parking spaces.

An RSA guide to the EDT
The standard EDT course has twelve one-hour sessions, and we offer it in manual or automatic. Bring your logbook if you have started already. We can discuss the remaining sessions and any further lessons needed to support them.
Keep a note of the feedback after each lesson. That gives you and your sponsor useful points to practise before the next session. Ask for an explanation if you're not sure what a comment means in an actual drive.
Book your EDT lessons ↗Get ready to pass your Rathcoole driving test
Booking pre-test tuition gives you a chance to assess your driving and work on specific points before the appointment. Tallaght is listed in the current RSA directory. Tell us the exact venue on your booking and whether you need a test car, so we can check availability.
